Joseph Klause, Trumpet

Joseph Klause holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and the Longy School of Music, with training at Juilliard’s Pre-College Program and Le Conservatoire du Rueil Malmaison. He is an adjunct faculty member at Reed College, Clackamas Community College, Lewis and Clark College, and the University of Portland. He is a member of the Portland Opera, Rose City Brass Quintet, and Rose City Brass Trio. He has held one-year positions with the Hawai’i Symphony and Eugene Symphony, and also performs regularly with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Oregon Symphony, Auburn Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theatre, and Orchestra Next. He is currently a DMA student at the University of Oregon holding the Graduate Educators position in Trumpet, performing with the Oregon Brass Quintet and Oregon Brass Trio. When not performing, Joseph enjoys being in the great outdoors of the PNW, playing with his cats, and working as a software engineer.
